Brewfest 2022 wraps up as Oregonians experience some of Southern Oregon’s local breweries

Central Point -   Today is the last day of the 2022 Rogue Broadband Brewfest. With more than 70 taps to choose from guests have the chance to taste and experience some of Southern Oregon’s local breweries.

Brewfest began 20 years ago, at the time it was a small event to heighten Southern Oregon’s brewery market. Now it’s home to tons of local breweries. Jackson County Expo’s Director Helen Baker says not only is the area packed with phenomenal wine selections but there is great beer and breweries all around the Rogue Valley.

“We try and hype as many of those locals as we possibly can as well as those actually even from central Oregon and from the coast,” says Baker.

Oregon breweries such as Bend Cider, Weekend Beer Company, and Wild River Brewing and Pizza Company all agreed that the interaction between the customer is why they love coming back.

“Especially being at the festival is getting to meet people rather than someone drinking it and not ever getting to interact with them and acting finding people and what they think about it – it’s been a really fun and rewarding experience,” says David Ward the Co-Owner of Bend Cider.

Co-owner and Brew Master of Weekend Beer Company from Grants Pass Brandon Crews says it’s always amazing to highlight what we have local, “often it’s really high quality but a lot of people don’t realize it,” says Crews.

Every vendor here is grateful to have this experience and the opportunity to share their passion. Brewfest will be back next year for local businesses, breweries, and wineries to expose southern Oregonians to their local craft.
