Grants Pass - Today a 15.2 million construction project for the Asante three rivers medical center celebrated its latest remodel with a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Asante foundation representatives.
With help from donors and community support – the expansion of the Spears Cancer Center creates a more comprehensive and convenient experience for people being treated for cancer.
A diagnostic CT scanner, infusion services with 31 patient chairs, private rooms, on-site laboratory work, and pharmacy services in one building allows patients to have the most convenient experience while being treated.
“Having that ability to have the radiation oncologist as well as the medical oncologist in the same building is huge – makes it a little bit easier for them and hopefully it saves them an extra trip and helps with the coordination of care,” says Mujahid Rizvi the medical director of the cancer center.
With people already using the facilities - Asante ensures the expansion will help save lives in the rogue valley.
