MEDFORD, Ore. — With the expected snow coming in, possible school closures are also up ahead on Thursday and that means businesses like YMCA are gearing up to help parents.
Employees say, for $25 a day, there’s many activities for kids to do, like swimming and rock-climbing. The organization says they see between 30 to 100 extra kids on snow days.
“For us, I don’t think what the folks pay really helps us in a benefit way, but helps us cover the costs and provide a great service to the parents that are needing that care,” said Gary Taylor, YMCA’s Director of Fun.
YMCA also plans to have extra staff members ready to come in if they need.
