MEDFORD, Ore. — The Rogue Valley YMCA is asking for the public’s help to raise money for programs for low-income families.
The YMCA has launched its strong communities campaign, and hopes to raise $150,000. The money will help low-income families receive scholarships for a variety of programs. Last year the YMCA provided those scholarships to more than 1,600 children and families.
“After school care, camp programs, memberships for healthy activities, virtually everything we offer here at the Y and our satellite programs,” said Simone Kaiser, with the Rogue Valley YMCA.
The YMCA says the campaign will continue through the Pear Blossom Run on April 13th. The money raised at that event will also go toward the low-income scholarships.
