MEDFORD, Ore. — Table Rock Road will see some big changes over the next few months as road crews begin work to improve traffic.
Construction crews are widening Table Rock Road north of Vilas Road, adding a left turn lane and widening the shoulders in order to speed up traffic between White City and Medford.
The intersection at East and West Gregory Roads will also be lined up. Currently, East and West Gregory are offset on either side of Table Rock Road.
Jackson County Roads Director John Vial said that work will make it easier for cars turning on to Table Rock road, and added the current layout at Gregory Road is one of the highest accident areas in the county.
“It’s an area that’s in desperate need of left hand turn lanes and realigning the intersection to make it safer for all drivers,” he said.
Vial said the work is scheduled to be completed by the end of October.
