MEDFORD, Ore. — The home field of Medford’s new summer-league baseball team is getting a major overhaul.
On Friday, crews began pouring concrete for the new seating areas at Harry and David Field, getting ready for the upcoming Medford Rogues’ season. 320 new seats will be added along the first and third base lines. The team’s general manager said he wants to create a fan-friendly atmosphere at the stadium.
“You come out to a ballgame with your family and have fun, and that’s why this upgrade is taking place, so that families can come here and really take advantage of what’s going to be the nicest ballpark in this part of the state, easily,” said Rogues General Manager Chuck Heeman.
The organization will also install bleachers, a kids playground, a party deck, and walkways. The General Manager says all of it should be completed before the rogues begin their season May 31st.
