Woman Indicted in Homicide Investigation

JACQUELYN NovackJOSEPHINE COUNTY, Ore.– A Josephine County woman is now part of a homicide investigation.

Grants Pass Department of Public Safety said a missing persons report came in on April 2nd. Oregon State Police said deceased remains were later found at a campsite in the Sunny Valley area, and are believed to be the same person.

38 year old Jacquelyn Kelly Novack was identified as a suspect in the investigation on April 9th. She was located in Eugene, and arrested on an unrelated warrant. She was indicted by a Josephine County Grand Jury for murder, tampering with evidence, and felon in possession of a firearm, on Saturday.

The identity of the deceased will be released once next of kin are notified. The investigation is ongoing.

    Looks like someone I would “love to see” a loved one bring to dinner. What is she thinking? At her age she should take some pride in herself. I’m sure drugs are involved in it all. So sad.
