Wildfire South of Hood River

Fire Danger LevelHOOD RIVER, Ore. –  Oregon Department of Forestry is fighting a 50-75 acre wildfire about 10 miles south of  Hood River.

It was reported about 3:45 A.M. on June 18.

The fire is burning on private forestland Hood River County Forestry land. O.D.F. has four fire engines and one bulldozer at the scene, and its expected helicopters and hand crews will be dispatched as well.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
