KLAMATH NATIONAL FOREST, Ore. — Wild mushroom season is beginning in the Klamath National Forest.
Permits are now available at district offices for the national forest. There are two seasons when mushroom harvesting is permitted.
The spring season typically runs from early April until late July. The fall season runs from early October to mid-November.
Adults can collect up to a pound per day, with a maximum of five pounds per year, without purchasing a permit.
