Medford, Ore. — Eating healthy can be a challenge between the planning and the cost, but there are several websites designed to make things a little easier.
Clinical Dietitian at Rogue Regional Medical Center, Sherri Sexton, has put together a go-to list for people trying to find healthy meals.
That includes Food Hero, a website put together by OSU. It provides you with a full recipe, along with nutritional facts. You can also see comments from people who have tried the recipe.
The local co-ops are another good place to check. Siskiyou Co-op has created a website packed with recipes. The recipes give you ideas on how to use fresh produce in your meals.
The American Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics also has a website that offers world cuisine recipes along with nutritional facts.
The federal government’s website, Choose My Plate, also has recipes. You can find healthy eating tips and sample menus. The site will even create a shopping list for you.
