MEDFORD, Ore. — America’s favorite game show is looking for contestants in the Rogue Valley. The Wheel of Fortune Wheelmobile is in town, and all weekend they’ll be holding mock shows to see who makes the cut to spin the wheel on national TV.
The setup will be here Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Everyone is invited to apply for a chance to play on the mock stage, for real prizes of course, and see if they have what it takes. There are three shows each day, at 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m, and 4 p.m.
Contestants-to-be can get an application an hour before each show. Applications are picked at random five at a time. Those applicants will get a brief interview on stage before playing a speed-up round of the game and, yes, that means you get to spin the wheel. Organizers say they aren’t looking for who gets the luckiest spin, but who has the most charisma.
If you are picked, there will be another round of auditions. Those will take place in the Medford area within a couple of months, but the exact date and location have not been announced. For now, you can show up at the North Medford High School Gym on Saturday or Sunday. You must be 18 or over to apply.
