Weekend Farmer’s Markets Kick Off

5-3 farmers marketMEDFORD, Ore. – The first Saturday farmers markets of the season kicked off this weekend as hundreds of people came out to Medford and Ashland for the Rogue Valley Growers and Crafters Market.

Organizers of the Medford market say the event has grown over last year with over 50 vendors signed up. Those vendors range from farmers, to artisan food makers, to craftspeople.

But the biggest change for the Medford market is the new concert green next door to the commons, which market organizers say they plan to put to use.

“Possibly live music going on, where people will come down to listen to music and shop for those special treats and all of their produce all at the same time,” said Market Manager Abby Hogge.

Both the Medford and Ashland Saturday markets will run every weekend until late October.
