MEDFORD Ore. — This week’s Wednesday’s Child is about an entertaining boy with a curious smile, and no shortage of conversation topics. Talking with Andrew is pretty entertaining, not just because of what he says, but how he says it. Andrew is full of personality and big on dancing, but if you think you’re funny, get ready for a challenge. Andrew says it takes a lot to make him laugh. He’s serious and curious. He’s an explorer and never stays in one place for too long.
Andrew is 8 years-old and he is just starting to get comfortable at reading. If you want to see his eyes light up, ask him how much he likes being read to. “I have this great book at home. I mean at school, my teacher is reading, it’s about time travel these kids go back in time to save their father and face great danger.” Andrew says.
He is never short on things to talk about, or act out. One time, he and his friends were having fun and ended up running into a wall. He said: “One time we were running and we went ohhhhh, my leg got messed up and… it was hilarious.” Andrew loves telling stories and can definitely keep up his half of the conversation.
We are hoping someone will step up and make him a part of their family, a connection that would change his life forever.
