MEDFORD, Ore.,  — A southern California man and his two dogs drove 628 miles Wednesday, stopping in Medford to rest before heading on to Darrington, Washington. Daniel Sievert joined by his dogs, Jake and Emmerson, are on their way to help victims and search teams cope with the trauma of the massive mudslide that wiped out homes and left 90 people missing. Sievert and his gold retrievers have traveled 26,000 miles since they first volunteered at the Boston Marathon Bombing.
