While two new fires continue to burn in Douglas County, the heat only continues for Friday.
Today: With more triple digits and a continuation of the hot, dry conditions, a FIRE WEATHER WARNING remains in effect for central Douglas County, where both the Cable Crossing Fire and Stouts Fire are continuing to burn. As highs near 110 in some locations, a HEAT ADVISORY remains in effect for west side valleys. Expect mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies and highs well above average.
Tonight: Mild to warm temperatures overnight will leave little relief from the heat. The HEAT ADVISORY continues for western valleys overnight.
Tomorrow: Temperatures will still be in the 90's and triple digits, so the HEAT ADVISORY will remain in effect for western valleys. Expect partly cloudy skies and a slight chance for isolated showers and thunderstorms, mainly in northern California and along and east of the Cascades.
