Weather Impacts Driving Conditions

MEDFORD, Ore. — Possible snow and icy conditions are expected again on Friday, meaning drivers should be prepared for slick and dangerous roads again.

Thursday morning, driving around city roads may not have been too bad for drivers, but out in the back roads in Jackson County it was a different story.

The Jackson County Sheriff Department said deputies responded to multiple car crashes on Thursday morning. There were reports of rollovers and semi trucks getting stuck. There were also several crashes near White City.

NewsWatch12 spoke with drivers there who said they got on the road and ended up driving half the speed limit to make their way to work. Drivers also said the roads were deceiving, appearing as if there wasn’t any ice on the road.
