Happy Valentine’s Day! High pressure will build in today which should allow for more sunshine this afternoon with some clouds and fog through the morning. As long as we clear out like we did yesterday we’ll see the warmest days of the year so far today and tomorrow. Yesterday Medford tied the warmest day we’ve seen warming to 59 degrees. The warm up is short-lived, however, as a weak cold front moves through this weekend knocking temperatures back to down to normal and bringing a slight chance for some light showers late Saturday into Saturday night.
A stronger storm system approaches late Monday dropping temperatures well below normal and snow levels down to 2,000 – 2,500 feet by Tuesday morning. It’s been close to three weeks since we’ve seen similar precipitation amounts that are expected with this storm. The heaviest rain and snow will fall overnight Monday into Tuesday with a few showers lingering into Wednesday. A wetter pattern appears to be in the forecast for the end of the week as well.
