Yesterday’s disturbance has now shifted off to the East and clearer skies are with us this morning. Temperatures are near freezing on the East Side and not much of a warm up is expected yet again today, although temperatures are going to be a little warmer than Wednesday.
Another cold morning will come tomorrow – there is already a frost advisory in place for Jackson & Josephine Counties and a freeze warning for parts of the Klamath Basin and Siskiyou County. If you have vegetation outside or a garden with plants sensitive to cold temperatures, be sure to cover them. Forecasted morning lows in Klamath Falls Friday morning are in the low 20’s!
The warming trend, starting today, will continue into the weekend as well as a stretch of dry weather. But, come Saturday evening, the storm track to our north is inching further south. By Sunday, it will move inland and across the viewing area, bringing yet again heavy rain to the region. This system doesn’t look as cold as what we’ve seen the past few days but afternoon highs are expected to stay well below normal through the extended forecast. As of now, another disturbance will follow Tuesday and Wednesday bringing more showers to the area.
