Last night’s front brought rain and freezing rain to the forecast area, but the system was short lived and showers came to an end just a few hours after they developed. Cloud cover still sits over the region, in addition to a new and much warmer air mass.
Temperatures are running between 5-20 degrees warmer from the Coast to the Basin. A warmer day is ahead compared to the last few. Highs will be in the 40’s across the Valley & the 30’s in the Basin.
Dry and quiet weather is expected to continue through the weekend. Morning lows will remain near and/or below freezing into early next week so refreezing of snow and ice on roads is expected to continue. The warmer afternoons though will help to slowly eat away what still lingers from last weekend’s winter storm.
