MEDFORD, Ore. — Jacob Granger, 23, was wanted by the Jackson County Community Corrections for walking away from the Talent work release center on Friday. He was also suspected of dealing heroin in a motel on South Pacific Highway in Medford.
Investigators of the Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement (MADGE) agency got information as to Granger’s whereabouts on Monday. The investigators conducted surveillance at the location and spotted Granger around 10:30 a.m. MADGE Investigators tried to make contact with Granger, but he fled on foot, only to run directly into another group of MADGE Investigators that were waiting for him. Investigators conducted a consent search of Granger’s vehicle and found 17.10 grams of heroin, packaging and digital scales.
Jacob Granger is lodged in the Jackson County Jail on charges of Unlawful Distribution, Manufacturing and Possession of a Controlled Substance – heroin, and also a Probation Violation charge. His bail is set at $115,000.
