Wanted Fugitive Arrested

MATHESCAVE JUNCTION, Ore. — A wanted fugitive is now behind bars after a late night stabbing. Oregon State Police arrested Jeffrey Mathes in the overnight hours on Tuesday in Cave Junction.

OSP was originally called out to the Junction Inn Motel where they found a man with stabbing cuts on his forearms. Troopers were able to track down the stabbing suspect who they later identified as Mathes.

They say the 37-year-old is wanted by U.S. Marshals for drug-related crimes and parole violation warrants out of Colorado and Nevada.

Alleged* stabbing. He may have a record, he was falsely accused of this by someone that instigated a fight and wanted someone to blame for getting beat up. Jeffrey was accounted for all night… and now because of some snitch he is going away.
