MEDFORD, Ore. — Local medical professionals were able to meet with Congressman Greg Walden on Friday to talk about the future of health care.
It is part of a 6-day tour through parts of Oregon, to meet with local leaders about various issues. This event was held at the providence medical in Medford on Friday.
Doctors, physicians, and providers talked about costs, reimbursements and compensation issues. They also shared concerns about how the upcoming federal health care law taking time away from patient care.
“Some of the concern is with Obamacare rolling out you’re going to have a huge pin ups of demand for need of service for people who haven’t had health insurance before, and yet you don’t have any more providers, and so how is that really going to play out in Medicaid and in the workforce and access to care,” said Congressman Walden.
On Saturday, Congressman Walden will head to Klamath Falls to talk about job growth in surrounding counties.
