Voter Pamphlets To Be Mailed

MEDFORD, Ore. – Election information will soon be arriving in mailboxes, and the deadline to register to vote is approaching quickly.

The Jackson County Elections Office said voters guides will start to be mailed out at the end of this week, but it warns that receiving a pamphlet does not mean you are registered.

The office said there is always a rush of people trying to register before the deadline. The registration deadline in Oregon is next Tuesday, October 16th and in California, the deadline is a week later on October 22nd. Oregon ballots will be mailed October 19.

It’s important for residents to remember that receiving a voters’ pamphlet doesn’t mean you are registered to vote. The Jackson County Clerk said if you have questions regarding the status of your voter registration, contact the Elections office at 774-6148. You can also verify your registration online at the Oregon Secretary of State’s website.
