DANVILLE, Ky. – American viewers are just hours from watching a show down between Vice President Joe Biden and Republican Vice President Nominee Paul Ryan. This is the one and only debate that will be held between the two vice presidential candidates.
The topic of federal funding for PBS and Sesame Street has been in the spotlight since the debate between President Obama and Mitt Romney, but tonight, the Romney campaign is expected to suggest a cut to funding for other services such as Amtrak and high speed rail projects. Amtrak receives roughly $1.4 billion a year in federal subsidies, three times more than PBS.
Tonight you can watch the vice-presidential debate live from Danville, Kentucky, right here on NewsWatch 12 at 6 p.m. Then, at 10 p.m. a one-hour special edition of NewsWatch 12 will air with a complete wrap-up of the debate. NewsWatch12’s www.kdrv.com will have a livestream of the debate.
