MEDFORD, Ore. – A Medford business is taking a day to give back to local veterans and their families. In honor of Veterans Day, Southern Oregon Auto Care offered a free oil change and tire rotation to veterans, active military and their spouses.
The owner Ron Shubin says his shop had a big turnout for the offer, and was full most of the day. He says he had been looking for a way to pay tribute to the troops, and said many veterans were grateful for the offer.
“We wanted to make an offer to some of our veterans and active military and the spouses of actively deployed military. Wanted to give them a thank you and we decided to do an oil change,” said Shubin.
The owner of Southern Oregon Auto Care says he plans of making the same offer for veterans day next year.
