MEDFORD, Ore. — A fire at a vacant home in Medford is under investigation. 4 engines arrived on the 1300 block of Ross Lane in Medford five minutes after the first call came in at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
Fire fighters say the front bedroom was fully engulfed and the windows had already blown out. The fire was quickly extinguished and the residence was confirmed to be vacant. The fire is currently under investigation to determine the cause
Medford Fire-Rescue says the property is thought to be owned by Well Fargo Bank. Fire prevention has requested the building to be boarded up and signs posted on the house to not occupy the property. They will also attempt to locate the proper owner of the property.
PP&L removed the meter to remove any electrical hazard.
