WHITE CITY, Ore. — Drivers are needed to help veterans get to mental and physical health care and surgery.
The VA Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center is looking for volunteer drivers for its transportation network. The Center is looking for people that can driver veterans throughout Southern Oregon to and from the VA for important health appointments. One of the longest drives involved would include a daily run from White City to Roseburg.
“Many are volunteers themselves and are wanting to help their fellow comrades. Those that aren’t veterans, they just want to give something back to the veterans that have provided us so much in the way of liberty and continue to do so,” explained Anna Diehl, Chief Community Resources & Public Affairs.
The VA is looking for drivers who are physically fit.
