Utah Man Cited for Pounds of Marijuana

NEAR LAKEVIEW, Ore. — A Utah man was cited Wednesday morning after an Oregon State Police (OSP) trooper pulled over his pickup truck for a traffic violation on Highway 140 West of Lakeview and found approximately six pounds of marijuana.

The 29-year old man from Sandy, Utah was identified as Austen L. Temple and stopped by the officer for speeding. The pounds of marijuana were being stored in two different locations in the pickup worth an estimated value of $15,000.

Temple was taken into custody, cited and later released to appear at a later date in Lake County Circuit Court for unlawful possession of a controlled substance (marijuana). The OSP Drug Enforcement Section is continuing the investigation.
