Using Smartphone Apps for Weight Loss

MEDFORD, Ore. — If you’re trying to lose weight or get healthy, smartphone apps can help.

Rogue Regional Medical Center Clinical Dietitian, Sherri Sexton, has some favorites for tracking calories and getting exercise.  Those include apps Live Strong, My Fitness Pal, and Couch to 5k.

If you don’t have a smartphone, you can go use the USDA’s calorie tracking website, www.choosemyplate.gov.
