NEAR MOUNT ASHLAND, Ore. — A 52-year-old Medford man is recovering after surviving for three days without food or water.
Kurt Liska’s family says they were beyond relieved when they got the call saying he was alive. His father says the family knew Liska went for a drive in the woods, and when he didn’t come back, assumed nobody would find him.
Liska took a turn too fast and he was thrown from the car and flopped downhill. The injuries he sustained kept him from moving at all. Liska’s father told his son this morning that today’s the first day of the rest of his life.
