ASHLAND, Ore. — The box office for the Ashland Independent Film Festival is open and so far, nearly 15,000 tickets have been sold. Officials say this number is up from last year, but they see interest grow year after year.
There are 21,000 tickets up for grabs this year and there are 6,000 left. Tickets are on sale at the box office through April 2nd. The festival will run April 3rd through April 7th, and will show nearly 100 independent films.
Tickets for each show are sold separately. The Ashland Armory is getting a make-over for the event.
“We’ve got brand new projection in there, brand new sound quality, and we’re also improving the seating in there, so it’s becoming like a real theater and it’s very exciting. We’re really excited to have those improvements in there,” explained AIFF Director of Operations, Wendy Conner.
Two shows are proving to be very popular this year, almost selling out; those are “Running With Crazy” and “Monk With a Camera”.
