ROSEBURG, Ore. — OSP is asking for the public’s help to identify a truck and driver involved in a hit and run Thursday morning. The incident critically injured an adult male along I-5 south of Roseburg.
The injured pedestrian was identified as 31-year old Gabriel Johnson. Evidence at the scene indicates an unknown commercial truck pulling a semi-trailer struck the man and also the concrete barrier located between the north and southbound lanes before continuing the drive south.
The truck may have damage to the driver side and also the left front corner. Other descriptions, as well as the color, remain unknown at this time.
Johnson is a transient, although he previously lived in Pendleton and also has family in Harrisburg. He was transported by ground ambulance to Mercy Medical Center and then transferred by air ambulance to Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend.
