Oregon St. is still looking for someone to step up and take over the running game for the upcoming season. Malcolm Agnew was the leading rusher last year, but a pair of freshman are looking to take some carries, too. Storm Woods and Chris Brown have both emerged as favorites throughout camp, but there’s a sophomore worth mentioning too. Terron Ward started three games for the Beavers last year, and even though he’s undersized for a runner, he has plenty of confidence in his abilities.
“I’ve had a chip on my shoulder since I was eight years old,” said Ward. “As long as I do what I have to do on the field here at Prothro and at Reser, I’ll be OK. The media, they’re going to do what they do, but I feel like I’m doing a good job.”
Last season, Ward ran for 211 yards and a touchdown on 3.3 yards per carry.
