ASHLAND, Ore. — A car fire was spotted in a driveway in the 300 block of Oxford Street in Ashland on Wednesday night.
The car on fire was spotted by a passer by who tried alert the home owners but they did not come to the door. That person then alerted the neighbors next door and those residents called 911. Emergency services got the call at 8:30 p.m., and sent units to the location.
Fire officials say the fire was under control by 8:45 p.m. No one was injured and no structures were damaged, but the car next to the vehicle originally on fire was damaged as well. Fire officials said both vehicles were a total lose.
Surrounding grass and one tree were in direct line of the fire, but all was contained in a matter of minutes. Two engines and three Ashland fire chiefs responded to the scene.
