My mother used to own the security business at the airport {20 years). She has had no problems in all thoughs years. 911 happend, TSA took over and my mother lost her job. She took there test and passed it, but still she lost her job. The box cutters used on 911 were pryor to 911 were allowed by the FAA rules on the aircraft. Yet this is something that was never brought up in the news at all, BUT THE FAA STILL BLAMED SECURITY FOR ALLOWING THEM ON THE PLAINES. I believe this is do to her being the owner, everybody else took there test, passed and kept there jobs but her. I really do belive the FAA had to blame somebody for there screw up, and all the people who lost there jobs because of 911 were the fall guys.
