Highs were 5 to 9 degrees hotter than average this Saturday, with hotter weather on the way. A Chetco Effect is setting up, that will bring the heat to the Coast Sunday and Monday. Then the heat will shift inland.
It is possible that 100 will be the high on Tuesday and 99 on Wednesday. The record high for Tuesday is 103, while the record for Wednesday is 100. So, we can call this little hot spell, near record hot.
There will be abundant sunshine through the end of the week, but temperatures will slide back to the low 90’s by Friday and 80’s on Saturday and Sunday. Skies will become partly to mostly cloudy over the weekend, with a few showers or isolated thunderstorms, mainly this weekend, and mainly over the mountains.
