KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — A two-day jury trial convicted Silas Jackson, 31, of Felony Assault in the First Degree and Misdemeanor Assault in the Fourth Degree. Klamath County Circuit Court Judge Roxanne Osborne sentenced Jackson to 90 months in prison.
The original call came in on December 14 2013 at Melita’s Restaurant near Chiloquin. Investigators say Jackson was intoxicated and started a fight at that restaurant. During the fight, police say Jackson knocked out one of his cousins and stabbed another with a knife.
Records show Jackson has prior convictions for Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm related to Domestic Violence, Assault in the Second Degree, Robbery in the Second Degree and Supplying Contraband.
