ASHLAND, Ore. — Interstate 5 is shut down at the Siskiyou Summit. Drivers in the Ashland area have been in stand-still traffic for hours.
Oregon Department of Transportation says Interstate 5 is closed to southbound traffic at Ashland Exit 14 due to severe weather conditions in northern California. ODOT is turning southbound traffic at the exit 14 interchange to go back to services in the Rogue Valley.
The Jackson County Expo at exit 33 in Central Point is open and available for trucks. ODOT does not have an estimated time to reopen. Ashland residents are advised to use Oregon 99 or the Phoenix and Talent I-5 exits (exits 24 and 21).
