EUGENE, Ore. — A newly released list shows the cars most often targeted for theft in Oregon. According to the National Insurance of Crime Bureau, the 1992 Honda Accord is the car most often stolen in Oregon.
It is followed by the ’98 Honda Civic. Police say the majority of these cars on the list are from the 1990s and one of the main reasons these cars get stolen is because they have less sophisticated alarms and are easier to steal.
The NICB recommends using warning or tracking devices to help prevent vehicle thefts.
