Tony Hawk Skateboards for Grants Pass

GRANTS PASS, Ore. — A skateboarding legend stopped by Grants Pass Saturday to put on a show for fans. Tony Hawk made Grants Pass Skate Park his only Oregon stop on his current tour.

Dutch Bros. Coffee and Extreme Board Shop hosted the event. All proceeds from the drink sales at the event will go to Youth Impowerment Support Services, a non-profit organization in Cave Junction trying to raise money to build a skate park.

“We love kids and we know that they need a place to go, and a thing to do and a place to hang out where they can be safe and do something fun,” said Dan Buck with Dutch Bros. Coffee.

Officials estimated that nearly a thousand fans showed up for Saturday’s event.
