The companies NewsWatch 12 reporter Rob Scott spoke with said some key tips to preventing your A/C unit from needing repairs is keeping the thermostat above 70 degrees, this prevents the coils from freezing. They also said to check the air filter in your home every month and change it out when needed, advising that spending a few extra dollars on check-ups can save you big bucks in the long run.
