A low pressure offshore is digging south bringing widespread thunderstorms in east Siskiyou county and Modoc, Lake and Klamath counties. Thunderstorms will diminish from west to east overnight with showers continuing into early Tuesday morning for the Cascades and Siskiyou county. Tuesday afternoon the threat for thunderstorms returns along and east of the Cascades with the most activity in Siskiyou county. Thunderstorm activity on Tuesday will be less than Monday as the parent low will be further south of our region.
Tuesday will bring increasing sunshine along and west of the Cascades and will start a warming trend into Thursday. Above normal highs will persist into Memorial Day weekend. Mostly sunny skies will be with us late Tuesday into Thursday with clouds coming and going Friday into Sunday.
