A major double punch storm deluged many areas of Southern Oregon over the weekend and early Monday. Between 6 and 8 inches of rain fell in the Coast Range Mountains, with 4 to 6 inches in Curry County at the Coast and around Coos Bay. The Cascades recorded 4 to 6 inches of rain as well, while the Siskiyou’s received 2 to 5 inches. Some valley areas like the Illinois Valley had 4 inches, while Grants Pass north to Merlin recorded 1 to 2 inches. Even the Medford Eastern Rogue Valley tipped the rain bucket with 1 to 1 and 1/2 inches of rain.
