Significant amounts of rain and high elevation snow fell over the weekend and early this morning. Generally ½ to 1 and ¼ inches fell in the Bear Lake Valley part of the Rogue Valley (including Medford, Ashland, Central Point to Gold Hill) and the Applegate Valley…while ½ – ¾ inches fell in the Illinois Valley and the Western Rogue Valley in Josephine County…through Southern Douglas County and over to Curry County on the Coastline. In Northern California, totals were higher…ranging from ¾ – over 2 inches of precipitation.
High pressure will return on Tuesday and Wednesday. Temperatures will rise 10 degrees on Tuesday and another 5 degrees on Wednesday. It won’t be perfectly sunny, but it will be nice.
It looks like a series of mediocre storms will start to infiltrate the region Thursday, Friday and Saturday. A stronger set of storms will bring colder and wetter weather on Sunday through Tuesday.
