Another round of rather heavy rain is on tap for Medford and the Rogue Valley. High winds will blow through the Shasta Valley, Klamath Basin and along the Coast. Some gusts along the coast will exceed 75 mph, with gusts over the mountain peaks even higher.
Rainfall amounts will be 3 to 6 inches along the coast, in the Illinois Valley and across parts of southern Douglas County. The Rogue Valley will see 1 to 3 inches of rain, while the snow level will stay very high above 8,000 feet.
This means some snowmelt along with the long duration rainfall event will cause flooding of urban and small streams and some of the main rivers. Rain will taper off by Wednesday in the late morning. Another weak, but cold front will bring snow levels down to the passes by the end of the week and the weekend.
