An area of low pressure just to our east is going to continue feeding in moisture from the tropics to parts of the Klamath Basin and Siskiyou County today. Showers and thunderstorms will again develop by late afternoon with the help of the strong sun and daytime heating. High temperatures will remain well above average for now, but tomorrow will be the last day of the recent heat wave.
The unofficial start to Fall will come this next week, and officially by next Sunday. Beginning this Sunday though, a significant cool down is expected to begin with showers and thunderstorms developing over Southern Oregon by the afternoon hours, even for the West Side. Thundershower activity will be isolated but it’s still worth mentioning.
Through next week, a series of disturbances will follow, all bringing a chance for rain to the region and cloud cover accompanied by cooler temperatures.
Enjoy the weekend!
