MEDFORD, Ore. — Southern Oregon advocates against the use of genetically modified organisms in the food supply are hoping to educate people about the crops.
Wednesday night, the group GMO-Free Jackson County is showing a movie it hopes will illuminate the dangers of introducing modified food into the agriculture in Jackson County.
“We want to provide information. Not only presenting movies but creating a forum where people can come and ask questions share information and get some dialogue going that really wants important for people to understand what this is about,” said Anna Cassilly, with GMO-Free Jackson County.
The movie, “The Future of Food”, will be shown at 7 p.m. at the Medford Library on south Central Avenue.
