Teachers Clean Streets After Protests

FERGUSON CLEAN UP(CNN) — Following another night of chaos and unrest in Ferguson, Missouri Monday, teachers in one neighboring school district wanted to do something positive.

On Tuesday some Jennings School staff started cleaning up the streets. Some public schools in the area are closed until next week because of the unrest.

“We’re out here to build up the community not take it down,” said Tiffany Anderson, the Superintendent of the Jennings School District. “All of our teachers thought it would be wonderful to clean up the community. We’re having free lunches and free mental health counseling as well.”
