Tax Credits for Botched Insurance Site

Cover Oregon FBI webSALEM, Ore.– Governor Kitzhaber is providing Oregonians who tried to get insurance through Cover Oregon with retroactive tax credits.

He said Cover Oregon processed more than 85,000 people, but many people faced delays. Some families were forced to enroll in a plan directly with an insurance carrier after a failed attempt with the exchange.

Families who tried to apply for insurance during the period before the deadline, but couldn’t because of technical errors, could qualify for the tax credit. If you believe you may be eligible, contact Cover Oregon at 855-268-3767 before 6 p.m. June 27.
