5.3 Earthquake West of Coos Bay

OREGON — An earthquake rattled off the Southern Oregon Coast around 7:15 Tuesday night. It’s unlikely anyone felt the magnitude 5.3 quake; it happened 170 miles to the West of Coos Bay at a depth of 6.4 miles. Because of it’s magnitude, the Tsunami Warning Center says there’s no danger of tsunami’s from the earthquake.
